UNIK stationary cells in SAN transparent containers are designed for long life, low maintenance and rugged needs of the battery user. The purity of materials used in the manufacture and the controls exercised at various stages of manufacture ensure low self losses on standing.

The adequate cross section of the conductors guarantee minimal voltage drop when the demand for high power is made during emergency needs. The transparent containers ensure timely topping up during routine maintenance and serves as a visual indicator of battery “state of health.” The leak proof sealing of container to cover prevents corrosion of the connectors & terminals. The abundant electrolyte head on plate tops makes this cell ideally suited for remote location solar photovoltaic applications.

The cells are usually supplied in dry charged condition to enable commissioning charge at the user’s end leading to savings on charging cost at the customer’s premises. The cells for UPS applications and solar photovoltaic applications have varying performance characteristics and hence need to be designed differently.
